Parent revolution leads to unmasked musical in Sarasota

It was a middle school drama teacher’s nightmare. With less than an hour until Woodland Middle School’s performance of “The Little Mermaid” in North Port last Friday, the entire cast was in tears. It was the second night of the show, and Sarasota County School District officials had been informed that at opening night the actors were not wearing masks on stage, in violation of School Board policy.
