Mumbai: The government’s move to set up a fintech hub at Gandhinagar Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT) International Financial Services Centre (IFSC) commonly known as the GIFT City is set to provide a platform for fintech startups to expand globally and access capital.
While presenting the Union Budget 2021-22 in the Parliament on Monday, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that the aim is to “support the development of a world-class fintech hub” at India’s first operational smart city specifically designed to double up as a multi-service finance hub in Gujarat.
