One of the biggest challenges a covid patient faces during their stay at the hospital is that they never get a chance to meet their family members. Although some hospitals allow attenders to meet the patients wearing PPE kit, it’s not feasible for many.
Keeping this in mind, the health department is now planning to have a virtual consultation facility where the relatives or attendants can speak to the covid patients using tele-screens. This pilot project is being tested at a few government hospitals and if successful will be extended to other hospitals as well.
