The show sounds like a bit of a thriller. Do you expect the audience to feel unsettled by the piece? Will they go away and start putting stickers over all their webcams? (Won’t lie, I’ve already got one on mine).
Jaz: I think we definitely wanted to unnerve our audience a bit! We’ve been playing around with this term modern dystopia, setting the play in a technically dystopian setting that sits far too close to home. I think having that idea that we could always be 2-3 years away from reaching this level of surveillance is scary stuff.
Outside Lands Single-Day Tickets Sold Out In Under Two Hours
Earlier this week we got the day-to-day lineups for this year s Outside Lands, which is happening over Halloween weekend instead of in August. And today at 10 a.m. the single-day tickets went on sale and they went fast.
People are clearly jonesing for going back to normal and attending music festivals and even though the CDC still wants you to wear a mask at a crowded outdoor event, an outdoor concert is starting to look pretty safe, especially if you re fully vaccinated. And there s no better proof that events of all kinds are going to sell fast than today s sale of Outside Lands single-day tickets, as the Chronicle is reporting.
Railbird offers a pretty unique music festival experience. The festival name is inspired by horse racing enthusiasts named railbirds who are known for sticking close to the action, literally hanging onto the rail as each horse races down the track. Held on historical Grounds at Keeneland, where horse races are annually held, the music festival offers highly curated bourbon experiences and unique culinary experiences. There’s even a family-friendly area with pony rides, arts and crafts, and other interactive experiences for the kiddos.

In one of the clearest signs that people are looking forward to life after the coronavirus pandemic, tickets for San Francisco’s Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival sold out in less than two hours on Thursday, April 29, despite widespread reports of technical issues from people trying to access the festival’s ticketing system.
Outside Lands is planning to return to Golden Gate Park from Oct. 29 to 31, after a yearlong absence and postponement from its usual late-summer run.
Among all the doom these days coming from Iceland (and pretty much everywhere else too), some people had forgotten Iceland Airwaves.
Now in its tenth year, Iceland Airwaves is the biggest little festival in the world and has attracted the best international acts since the beginning. The festival is also famed for nurturing and even launching the careers of Iceland’s best acts as well.
The first (and only) time I have been to Airwaves so far was this time two years ago. And I actually felt tearful for several days after it finished. Sounds stupid I know, but it’s true – and my hopes are high for this year too.
