ROCKFORD Abdon Ochoa Villaneda, 40, was sentenced Wednesday to 70 years in prison for the domestic violence-related killing of one woman and the severe beating of another.
Villaneda had been jailed on charges of first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder after the Feb. 16, 2019, attack on two women at a residence in the 3200 block of Ninth Street.
Police responded to the residence after a disconnected 911 call and found Jennifer Lindsey, 42, dead at the scene and her daughter, Katelynn Lindsey, 25, suffering from multiple head injuries.
The officers reviewed their squad car camera video and saw Villaneda s car traveling away from the crime scene.
Villaneda traveled to Iowa and Missouri and led Missouri State Police on a pursuit that reached speeds of over 100 mph before he eventually lost control of his vehicle and was taken into custody. The victims DNA was found on his clothing.
