Lloyd Austin berkunjung ke Vietnam untuk memperlihatkan dukungan AS ke Asia Tenggara REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, HANOI Menteri Pertahanan Amerika Serikat (Menhan AS) Lloyd Austin berkunjung ke Vietnam untuk memperlihatkan dukungan AS terhadap negara-negara Asia Tenggara yang bersengketa dengan China di Laut China Selatan (LCS). Austin dijadwalkan bertemu dengan Menteri Pertahanan Vietnam Phan Văn Giang.
Ia juga akan bertemu dengan Presiden Nguyen Xuan Phuc dan Perdana Menteri Pham Minh Chinh. Austin sempat mengunjungi tempat pesawat mantan Senator AS John McCain ditembak jatuh tahun 1967. McCain yang maju dalam pemilihan presiden dari Partai Republik 2008 pernah menjadi tahanan Perang Vietnam.

The protests come after months of shortages of food, medicine, and other necessities, exacerbated by the Covid-19 pandemic, but many of the signs and slogans chanted by the protesters “
¡Libertad!” (“Freedom!”) also expressed long-running opposition to the oppression of Cuba’s communist regime.
In the Little Havana neighborhood of Miami, Florida (home to many Cuban-Americans) hundreds marched to show solidarity with the protesters in Cuba, joined by Miami Mayor
