FORREST COUNTY, Miss. (WDAM) - The Forrest County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a man who has been reported missing for about a month.
According to FCSO, they are responding to a family’s request to locate Johnny Anderson to ensure his well-being.

FORREST COUNTY, Miss. (WDAM) - Authorities in Forrest County managed to arrest two men on felony charges after being caught stealing items from a citizen’s property Sunday.
According to the Forrest County Sheriff’s Office, just before noon, a citizen who lives on Luther Carter Road looked at his home security cameras recording evidence of two men stealing items from his property and leaving in a white pickup truck pulling a utility trailer.

HATTIESBURG, Miss. (WDAM) - The Netherlands is seeking the extradition of a former Mississippi sheriff’s deputy in connection to the murder of a German national living in the Netherlands in November 2019.
William Lyle Johnson, of Hattiesburg, was arrested by federal authorities Wednesday after the U.S. Attorney’s Office for Southern Mississippi filed an extradition complaint Tuesday.
According to the complaint, Johnson is wanted in the Netherlands on several charges, including preparation of murder, incitement and/or accessory to murder, preparation of extortion resulting in death and hostage-taking.
Johnson is accused of being involved in the murder of Thomas Schwarz, whose body was found in a pool of blood in his Limburg home in the Netherlands on Nov. 26, 2019

FORREST COUNTY, Miss. (WDAM) - The Forrest County Sheriff’s Office charged a Heidelberg man with rape in an ongoing investigation.
Creon Baker, 32, was arrested Wednesday and charged with rape.
According to the sheriff’s office, investigators determined that victims had been assaulted and Baker was identified as the suspect, leading to his arrest.
The sheriff’s office encourages anyone with information about Baker to contact the sheriff’s office at 601-544-7800 and ask to speak with an investigator.

FORREST COUNTY, Miss. (WDAM) - An argument at a Carnes business Monday and subsequent tips from the community led to the arrest of two men on separate charges.
According to the Forrest County Sheriff’s Office, it began when 25-year-old Tyler Chance and 26-year-old Blake McCinnis got into argument at a business in the 1200 block of Carnes Road.
The sheriff’s office said Chance ran from the scene and stolen a Ford Ranger pickup truck.
