Congressman Josh Harder Reintroduces Bipartisan Bill to Fix Doctor Shortage in California’s Central Valley Published: Tuesday, 16 February 2021 05:53 February 16, 2021 - WASHINGTON  Last week, Congressman Josh Harder (CA-10) reintroduced the bipartisan, bicameral Stopping Doctor Shortages Act to close a loophole in federal regulations that prevents doctors in California and Texas from qualifying for student loan repayment programs. Rep. Harder introduced the bill alongside Reps. Van Taylor, Obernolte and Castro in the House and Sens. Feinstein and Cornyn in the Senate. Washington: An Indian-American Congressman sought an FBI investigation on Tuesday into the vandalisation of a statue of Mahatma Gandhi in California as several other lawmakers condemned the act. A bronze statue of Gandhi in the Central Park of the city of Davis in Northern California was vandalised, broken and ripped from the base by unknown people last week. The city has registered a case and is investigating the incident.
