In a rare show of Opposition solidarity on the Pegasus spyware issue and price rise, leaders of 15 like-minded parties attended a breakfast meeting Congress leader Rahul Gandhi hosted on Tuesday as Parliament washout entered its 12th day.
Aam Aadmi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party skipped the event which, apart from Congress MPs, was attended by leaders of the TMC, NCP, Shiv Sena, DMK, CPM, CPI, RJD, Samajwadi Party, JMM, JK National Conference, IUML, RSP, Kerala Congress Mani, Loktantrik Janata Dal and RSP. After the meeting, Gandhi led a cycle rally of leaders to Parliament in symbolic protest against the rising fuel prices. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday morning will host opposition leaders for a breakfast meeting. According to news agency ANI, the Congress leader will meet opposition leaders to discuss the strategy to take on the government in the remaining part of the Monsoon Session of Parliament. Around 14 opposition leaders have been invited to meet, as per sources, who will talk about the issues being raised by the opposition in Parliament including alleged surveillance through Pegasus spyware.
The meeting, where Congress MPs from the two Houses are also likely to be there, will be held at the Constitution Club.

Several Opposition leaders, including 100 Congress MPs, joined Rahul Gandhi for a breakfast meeting in New Delhi on Tuesday in a bid to decide on a united strategy to take on the Modi government over the Pegasus snooping issue.
At the
breakfast meeting at Constitution Club, Rahul Gandhi said, “The single most important thing in my view is that we unite this force. The more this voice (of the people) unites, the more powerful this voice will become, the more difficult it ll become for BJP-RSS to suppress it.”
