Congresswoman Lori Trahan, who represents the Third Congressional District, announced on her Twitter page on Jan. 28 she s COVID positive.
Trahan said she tested negative in Washington, D.C., last week and again when she returned home per state guidelines. I voluntarily got tested once again today, she tweeted. Sadly, I learned moments ago that I have tested positive for the virus.
At the time of the tweet Trahan said she was asymptomatic and began to self-quarantine.
Both her Massachusetts and Washington offices will continue to work remotely and she plans to cast votes the week of Feb. 1 using the House s proxy voting system.
It was a good day for Massachusetts’ entirely Democratic congressional delegation.
