Congresswoman Lori Trahan, who represents the Third Congressional District, announced on her Twitter page on Jan. 28 she's COVID positive.
Trahan said she tested negative in Washington, D.C., last week and again when she returned home per state guidelines.
"I voluntarily got tested once again today," she tweeted. "Sadly, I learned moments ago that I have tested positive for the virus."
At the time of the tweet Trahan said she was asymptomatic and began to self-quarantine.
Both her Massachusetts and Washington offices will continue to work remotely and she plans to cast votes the week of Feb. 1 using the House's proxy voting system.
