MOULTRIE, Ga. â The Colquitt County Sheriffâs Office is requesting help with information regarding a stolen wood chipper.
In a Facebook post April 23, the CCSO stated the wood chipper was stolen from âHwy. 33 and Gene McQueen Rd. area in Colquitt County.â The wood chipper was last seen being pulled by a âdark blue truck traveling toward Thomas County.â
The wood chipper is a BC1800A Auto Feeder by Vermeer. It is yellow with a blue, white and black stripe down the sides.Â
The CCSO asks if you have any information regarding the theft to please call their Investigations Division at 229-616-7460.

MOULTRIE, Ga. â A neighbor intervening in a domestic incident was shot at but not hurt on Sunday.
A Colquitt County Sheriffâs Office deputy was dispatched to the 300 of Pine Trail Road in regards to an assault in progress. The neighbor had reported seeing 24-year-old Quinton Tyrell Debruce assaulting a woman he lives with, according to Sheriffâs Office Investigator Austin Cannon.
âThe witness was fishing when he saw Debruce strike the female with a closed fist near the road in the front yard of his residence,â Cannon said.

MOULTRIE, Ga. â A Colquitt County woman was in the process of reporting her SUV stolen Wednesday when the vehicle came driving up â with a state trooper in pursuit.
A Colquitt County sheriffâs deputy was called out to a residence on the 900 block of John Buck McCoy Road Wednesday. The complainant said her son had taken her red Ford Escape without her permission and would like to file a report.Â
The deputy was getting information about the stolen vehicle when Raiford Scott Lane âcame driving up at a high rate of speedâ with a Georgia State Patrol car right behind him, according to the Sheriffâs Office incident report.

ALBANY, Ga. â The seventy-ninth and final defendant connected to a major methamphetamine distribution ring supplying illegal drugs across the southeastern United States was sentenced to serve 96 months in a federal prison, said Peter Leary, the Acting U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Georgia.
Kim Wesley, 48, of Nashville, Georgia, was sentenced on Thursday, April 15, by U.S. District Judge Leslie Gardner to 96 months imprisonment to be followed by eight years of supervised release. Wesley previously pleaded guilty to one count distribution of methamphetamine. Wesley is one of 79 co-defendants in the 2016 Boris Fuller methamphetamine distribution wiretap investigation. All 79 defendants have been federally charged, convicted and sentenced. There is no parole in the federal system.
