PESHAWAR: A decade-old blood feud between two families in Kaga Wala village on Kohat Road claimed another three lives on Saturday. Identified as Azan, Zeeshan and Khalid, all the slain persons belonged to the Gujaran group and were in their early 20s.
It was learnt the three young men were returning home late in the night when they came under attack by the armed men. Police have lodged a case against four members of the rival Mulyan group hailing from the same village.
The two families have been harbouring enmity for the last many years. A number of people from both sides have lost their lives in the blood feud so far.

PESHAWAR: Hundreds of villagers on Monday blocked the main Kohat Road to protest against the interruption in power and gas supply in the area.
Thousands of people travelling to and from the southern districts suffered for several hours as Indus Highway was clocked near Syfan area. The protesters said that power is only supplied to their areas for a couple of hours during the entire day.
They said that villages on both sides of Ring Road and Kohat Road, including Bazidkhel, Badaber, Mahsokhel, Kaga Wala, Garhi Qamardin, Bahader Kilay, and Landi Arbab remain without power and gas for several hours every day.

PESHAWAR: The officer of the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) martyred in a firing incident outside the Central Prison Peshawar on Saturday was not the target of the attackers, but the person sitting in his car was the one the armed men wanted to kill, it was learnt.
The attack was carried out in the sensitive area Saturday night. An inspector of the CTD Khushdil Khan was martyred in the attack while a civilian Iftikhar was injured.

PESHAWAR: Two more people became victims to an old blood feud between two families of Kaga Wala village here on Saturday.
An official said Zulfiqar and Usman of Gujarano group were killed and their relative Amjad and a passer-by were injured when their rivals opened fire on their car on Kotla Mohsin Khan.
Police lodged a case against Tasbihullah, Sanaullah and Zahidullah of Muliano group.
The enmity between the two families has claimed several lives over the last many years. The brandishing of arms by the two parties continuously spread terror in the area.
