When it comes to the COVID-19 pandemic, it s all about the numbers and one set is bringing hope in the United States.
Not a single state is reporting an increase in COVID-19 cases the past week compared to the week before. 33 states are reporting a decrease in cases.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) - President Biden announced the launch of the Federally Qualified Health Center Program, which will provide more vaccines for community health centers. And as a part of this program, Cahaba Medical Care is reaching out to vulnerable and underserved communities in our area.

âThis was my opportunity to not only protect myself, but also others in my community and for more selfish reasons, because I havenât seen my best friends of 18 years in almost a year,â Mayes said.

Cahaba Medical Care and Quality of Life Health Services are the two Federally Qualified Community Health Centers (FQHCs) in Alabama selected to be part of the Health Center COVID-19 Vaccine Program.
The program aims to vaccinate “hard-to-reach and disproportionately affected populations,” according to information shared by the Health Resources and Services Administration.
FQHCs were selected based on the patients they serve with the focus on, “individuals experiencing homelessness, public housing residents, migratory and seasonal agricultural workers, and patients with limited English proficiency.”
