Jane and Todd Friend are remembering their sons Feixiang and Joshua Friend for their shared passion of music.
Feixiang, 17, played the flute in Gahanna Lincoln High School’s marching band and concert band while his younger brother Joshua, 13, played the clarinet in Gahanna Middle School East’s band.
The brothers also had a mutual love of taking care of their family s chickens at their home on Reynoldsburg-New Albany Road in the Blacklick area. It was Feixiang’s idea for the Blacklick area family to get chickens, and over the years that responsibility was handed over to Joshua. The Friend family once had 15 chickens at the same time.

COLUMBUS, Ohio Two teens who died after a car flipped over into the water in west Columbus on Saturday have been identified.
The Gahanna-Jefferson School District said Gahanna-Lincoln High School student Feixiang Friend, 17, and Gahanna Middle School East student Joshua Friend, 13, died in the crash.
