Visalia police investigate fatal motorcycle collision
Around 8 p.m., officers responded to the collision at Demaree Street and Pryor Avenue.
When officers arrived, they discovered that a motorcycle turned northbound onto Demaree from Pryor. The rider lost control of the motorcycle and rode into the path of a southbound vehicle on Demaree.
The rider was thrown onto the roadway, Sgt. Greg Byerlee said.
A witness was helping the rider when both were hit by a vehicle. The motorcycle rider was rushed to Kaweah Delta Medical Center and later died. The pedestrian was treated for their injuries and are expected to recover.

Boy gets knife in the back after fight near Scotty s Donuts on Houston
His condition wasn t immediately released.
The incident started with a fight just before midnight Saturday at North Park Court and Elowin Avenue. Police were called to a fight near Scotty s Donuts on Houston Avenue. Houston Elementary School is just a block away. Businesses were closed but nearby homeowners heard the commotion and called police.
As officers arrived, several people began to run while others hopped in cars and fled the scene, Sgt. Mark Feller said.
Shortly after, police were called by staff at Kaweah Delta Medical Center where a 15-year-old boy had been dropped off by someone. The boy had been stabbed in the back. It s unclear what type of weapon was used.
Three children injured in downtown Visalia DUI collision
Three children were injured in a two-vehicle collision in downtown Visalia on Saturday. The driver accused of causing the wreck may have been under the influence of alcohol, according to police.
Around 7 p.m., officers were dispatched to the intersection of Bridge Street and Acequia Avenue for a report of an injury traffic collision.
When officers arrived they learned Alex Espinosa, 32, was driving a Chevrolet Cruze north on Bridge Street approaching Acequia Avenue, near Regal Visalia theater.
Espinosa blew through the intersection without stopping and slammed into a Chevrolet Sonic. His car then hit the corner of the movie theater.
