Sinead Quinn has not paid a single penny of her £17,000 fine for opening her Quinn Blakey Hairdressing salon illegally during lockdown. Pic: PA KIRKLEES Council has defended its decision to reject lockdown-defying salon Quinn Blakey Hairdressing s Covid grant application, and also said no fines have been paid so far. The salon in Bradford Road, Oakenshaw, run by its Covid-denying conspiracy theorist owner Sinead Quinn, applied for a Covid support grant after the current lockdown forced salons to close at the start of January. However, Kirklees Council rejected the application saying the salon was not eligible for a grant as it had failed to comply with national restrictions and there is currently an injunction in place on the business.
