HAMILTON â Two people from the Helena area have been arrested after they allegedly stole a plane that was found abandoned south of Hamilton over the weekend.
Ravalli County Sheriff Steve Holton said Kacey Shane Gessner and Brittany Rae Treib were arrested during an investigation into the theft of the plane, which was found on Highway 93 at mile marker 37 near Lick Creek south of Hamilton.
Sheriff Holton said a news tip provided information that led to finding and identifying the three occupants of the plane at a Hamilton-area motel Sunday.

Standoff in Corvallis ends, suspect found dead

CORVALLIS â A standoff with law enforcement in Corvallis has come to an end with the body of the suspect found in the residence apparently the victim of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Ravalli County Sheriff Steve Holton says in a social media post that negotiations with the 35-year-old armed man ended when they got no response from the man.
A robot was sent inside the home Wednesday night where the man was found dead.
Sheriff Holton previously said there appeared to be a significant mental health component to the situation.
