Livingston County Sheriff Tony Childress reported Monday that his department is investigating an armed robbery that took place in Odell Saturday afternoon. This is the second robbery to take place in this community in eight days.
In his news release, Childress stated that a white male entered the Fast Stop gas station in the 200 block of East Vermillion Street in Odell Saturday afternoon and demanded money from the cash register while brandishing a yellow handle weapon. The weapon was recovered at the scene.
The LCSD responded to the incident at 2:22 p.m. Deputies were told the suspect was between the ages of 45 and 55 and stood 5-foot-8 to 5-10. He was wearing blue jeans, a green khaki t-shirt and a tan ball cap.
