MACON COUNTY, Ill. (WAND) - Macon County s coroner has identified a Mt. Zion man who died following a rollover crash.Â
The single vehicle rollover crash happened overnight into Tuesday morning in the area of Riley Road and Route 51. The Macon County Sheriff s Office said they responded at 6:47 a.m. Tuesday and found the man, identified as 45-year-old Jason Stout, alive.Â
Stout was transported to Decatur Memorial Hospital, where he then died. Macon County Coroner Michael Day listed the cause of death as massive internal trauma.
A toxicology report and inquest are pending. The Macon County Sheriff s Office is investigating.Â
DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Investigators have identified a man who was killed in a Tuesday night Decatur shooting.Â
Decatur police had responded to the 200 block of W. Leafland Ave. for reports of shots fired Tuesday night. They found a man dead in the driver s seat of a vehicle.Â
Macon County Coroner Michael Day has identified the victim as 20-year-old Jayleon Cummings of Decatur. He was pronounced dead at the scene.Â
The preliminary cause of death in this shooting is multiple gunshot wounds to the head and chest, per a press release from Day. Â
Neighbors said they heard dozens of shots fired, saying it sounded like a machine gun going off in the neighborhood. Â
