Harney County stays at Lower Risk
From Jan. 23 through Feb. 6, there were eight adults in custody with newly reported COVID-19 cases in Harney County. This number includes the six cases that were reported in Harney County Monday. As these individuals do not interact with members of the broader community, the numbers are being subtracted from the county’s total cases of COVID-19, which helps to determine the County Risk Level. Based on these updated numbers of cases, Harney County will stay at Lower Risk on Friday.

The Howard County Historical Society will broadcast live its annual meeting this year.
The meeting will be streamed on the Historical Society’s Facebook page on Jan. 12 from 6 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. The Howard County Historical Society and Board of Trustees also will play a game of “Howard County Jeopardy,” which will feature local celebrity contestants, as well as a presentation of local history. The event will be live streamed from Kokomo First Church of the Nazarene and can be viewed at https://www.facebook.com/HCHistory.
The event also will have a new feature this year: a to-go dinner from the Windmill Grill. Menu options can be found online at www.hchistory.org/events, and orders must be submitted to the Howard County Historical Society office by Jan. 8. The meals can be picked up in the parking lot of Kokomo First Church of the Nazarene at 2734 Washington St. A share of the proceeds will go to the Howard County Historical Society.
