At the Indiana County Commissioners Meeting Wednesday morning, the commissioners got an update on the latest Covid-19 statistics.
Indiana County Emergency Management Director Tom Stutzman says the county still lags behind in the number of people fully vaccinated against Covid-19 compared to other counties.
He did mention that along with the public clinics from IRMC and other groups, and the pharmacies that have been offering vaccinations, private doctors are beginning to receive vaccines as well, so those who were not comfortable with getting a vaccine at a clinic or pharmacy can do so at their doctors, but they are to check with their doctors for vaccine availability.

Indiana County Emergency Management Director Tom Stutzman said that over the past few weeks, the county’s Covid-19 positive case and hospitalization numbers have increased to levels not seen since this January, during a large spike in the number of cases. Stutzman added that this is on par with other areas of the state over the last few weeks, and in Indiana county, the increases were not dramatic

LOW NUMBERS FOR START OF SECOND INDIANA COUNTY COVID-19 POP-UP TESTING CLINIC By Josh Widdowson

A covid-19 pop-up testing clinic got underway Saturday at the Indiana Mall parking lot, but the numbers are not as high as the last time the free testing clinic was held.
Indiana County Emergency Management Director Tom Stutzman reported that on the first day of testing on Saturday, 46 tests were administered and another 17 tests were performed on Sunday. The last time the county held a covid-19 pop-up testing clinic, 145 tests were administered on the first day while another 106 were administered on the second day.
