…Most of the people prepared for the position are Caliphate bred traitors – IPOB

The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, yesterday gave reason for its refusal to support Nigerian President of Igbo extraction, saying that all the people being prepared for the position are stooges that will be used against the interest of Ndigbo, Biafrans and the Biafra agitating groups.
IPOB also alleged that the people at the forefront of the agitation were people who openly worked against late Dr Alex Ekwueme, at Jos PDP convention for the candidature of the President of Nigeria under PDP in 1999, the brightest chance Ndigbo had for the position.

Ahead of the 2023 general elections, the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has said it won’t support a Nigerian President of Igbo extraction.
IPOB, in a statement by its Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, alleged that all the people being prepared for the position are stooges that will be used against the interest of Ndigbo, Biafrans and the group.
A chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and erstwhile National Publicity Secretary of the defunct New Peoples Democratic Party (nPDP), Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, has expressed discomfort at the continued lamentations of the Peoples Democratic Party over the recent movement of Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP to the All Progressives Congress, APC.
In a statement made available to DAILY POST on Friday, Eze restated that it remains within the exclusive reserve of every member of a political party to pitch tent with another political association where his genuine grievances, especially those affecting public interests are not properly addressed.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) on Friday passed a vote of confidence on President Muhammadu Buhari.
The decision was taken at the Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) 9th meeting at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja.
John Akpan Udoedehe, CECPC Secretary, announced the deliberations and resolutions in a statement.
The meeting discussed the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Area Council Elections, CECPC activities in the last quarter, the ongoing membership registration, revalidation and update exercise and the insecurity in Nigeria.
The scribe said the CECPC resolved to commend Buhari “for the counteractions taken against the spate of insecurity in some parts of the country and pass a vote of confidence on him.”
