Wearing A Mask Is Now Optional For Belton ISD
To wear a mask or not to wear a mask is the question that students and faculty are facing at Belton ISD.
According to KWTX, Belton ISD is making wearing a mask indoors optional beginning May 25th. The Board of Trustees met earlier today for a special meeting, where they approved the administration s recommendations to make wearing a mask inside optional.
Superintendent Matt Smith released a press release stating This evening, I ask families to engage in thoughtful discussion regarding your decision to wear masks for the remainder of this year. I encourage you to contact your primary care physician and ask for guidance appropriate for your student and your family for the final 11 days of instruction.

âWeâre just not ready and then you got Easter coming up, you got spring break next week, you know what I mean. Itâs just the wrong time,â Patricia Ingram, a local in the Coastal Bend said.
