Eagles women lead way upstaging competition leaders

Eagles on recruiting mission after losing ADF players

Ipswich spirit rises even after nailbiting footy defeats

Premium Content Subscriber only WHEN you are a dedicated multi-tasker like Anne O Donnell, having a run with a group of close-knit footballers is something to look forward to. Even after a one-point loss, O Donnell enjoys being part of an Ipswich women s side competing strongly each week in the QFAW Division 2 North series. I m loving it. Great team, great environment, O Donnell said. It s a nice way just to relax, get a bit of that pressure off and just go and enjoy the footy. It s the camaraderie, being with other teammates. We all get along really well . . . we gel on and off the field.

Eagles set to rise above pre-season challenges

Premium Content Subscriber only EVEN with all the weather disruptions, the Ipswich Eagles have trained the best they can for this weekend s season opener. That s the view of head coach Kym Mansell, who expects victory in Ipswich s QFA Division 2 North match against Gympie away on Saturday. I don t want to blame the preparation because of all the hurdles we ve had for the last six weeks with grounds being closed by Council and stuff like that, Mansell said. We ve prepared the best that we possibly can do considering those situations. After training - weather permitting - at Woodcrest College, the squad moved permanently back to its familiar Limestone Park base this week now the cricket season is over.
