WINNIPEG A former Manitoba premier, an award-winning musician and one of the founding directors of the Winnipeg Folk Festival are among the latest people to receive the province’s highest honour. The province announced 12 Manitobans will receive the Order of Manitoba this summer, which honours people who have enriched “the social, cultural or economic well-being of the province and its residents,” according to a release. “The exceptional women and men to be invested into the Order of Manitoba serve to inspire us all and reinforce that each of us has the power to make a difference,” said Lt.-Gov. Janice Filmon in a statement. “These individuals truly exemplify resiliency, adaptability and leadership, and they are all most worthy of acknowledgement and acclaim. We are proud to celebrate the passion and leadership of these great Manitobans.”

Politicians, artists, scientists, business and cultural leaders are among the Manitobans to be honoured with the Order of Manitoba later this year.
Twelve Manitobans will receive the Order of Manitoba, the province’s highest honour, at a ceremony at the Manitoba Legislative Building that because of the COVID-19 pandemic is tentatively scheduled for July 15.

The A2 Milk share price is down a 5.5% to $5.75. Investors have been selling the infant formula company’s shares after it downgraded its FY 2021 guidance for the fourth time on Monday. Adding to the selling pressure were a number of bearish broker notes this morning. One of those came from Credit Suisse, which has retained its underperform rating and slashed its price target on the company’s shares to just $5.00.
Cariboo Fire Departments participating in Wildfire Urban Interface Training Sunday

Fire Departments in the Williams Lake area will be taking part in Wildfire Urban Interface Training tomorrow.
Fire Departments from Williams Lake, Quesnel, Miocene, and 150 Mile House will be participating in mock scenarios around a few different areas around Williams Lake.
The areas where training will be happening are South Lakeside, Dog Creek, Eagle View, and Fox Mountain.
Residents may notice additional fire trucks in the area on Sunday as the departments participate in the training.

I usually write letters about government and politics, crises around the world, and possible ways to get things moving forward again, but there is so much to enjoy and be thankful for in this great region of Minnesota I thought would put down some thoughts.
