JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Elks Lodge #995 has a proud tradition of holding events for the Anne Carlsen Center for Children.
Typically, the event consists of a day where the children go and enjoy a movie at our local movie theater with a pizza party to follow. Like all other community-based projects this year, everyone’s safety and wellbeing under COVID-19 is our main priority. Elks lodge #995 unfortunately had to make the decision to void the event for the children this year due to the pandemic, but came together and chose to benefit the children in another way to meet pressing needs.

JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Members of Elks Lodge #995 made a donation to the Jamestown Public School System for their
“Thanks to the generosity of our members at Jamestown Elks Lodge 995, and the generosity of the National Elks Foundation, we are able to make a $2,000 donation to help ensure school age children are provided the proper nutrition,” the lodge stated.
“It’s hard to focus on studies, when you are worried about where your next meal will come from,” Knight & Grant Committee Chairman Clay Greenwood stated. “Hopefully this donation can help mitigate those worries for school age kids in Jamestown.”
