A nationally recognized financial literacy program designed to improve people’s money management skills will be offered virtually and for free by Literacy Lambton in May.

For aspiring drivers stuck at home during the province’s second lockdown, the Organization for Literacy in Lambton is holding a free online program that may be right up their alley.
Since 2018, the local non-profit organization has hosted an in-person program at their Lochiel Kiwanis Community Centre headquarters called Shift Into Drive.

While the program does not replace formal Ministry of Transportation driver’s education training or schools – learners do not go out in the community with instructors in vehicles to practice their driving skills – it is a program that assists learners to work through the G1 driver test manual and helps prepare them to write the exam.
