School principals in the national capital believe that the government s announcement of not conducting board exams till February 2021, has brought some clarity for them and they will have time to prepare students accordingly.
Union Minister of Education Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank had on Tuesday ruled out conducting board examinations for classes X and XII till February next year in view of the COVID-19 situation.
Usually, the practical exams are conducted in January and theory exams begin every year in February and conclude in March.

India’s Union Cabinet Minister for Education Ramesh Pokhriyal has announced that Indian curriculum schools will not take board exams until February 2021.
The minister made the statement during a live session with teachers on the latest update board exams and the impact of coronavirus on the system.
Pokhriyal said board exams would be in written format only and not online as many schools are in rural areas where internet connection is questionable.
Officials associated with issue said that if students were not able to sit for practical tests in classes before the exams, alternatives would be explored.
