Doha: Healthy living, education, scientific knowledge, and the cornerstones of Arab and Islamic culture will all form part of a series of virtual activities organized by Qatar Foundation during Ramadan.
Members of the community will have the opportunity to participate in an array of online events and programmes intended to help ensure the spirit Ramadan continues even amid COVID-19 restrictions, as they enable learning, reflection, and growth.
“Throughout the Holy Month, Qatar Foundation will be offering a host of educational activities that are designed to be enjoyed by the whole family, and which reflect the true spirit of this special time,” said Mohammed Abdullah Fakhroo, Executive Director of Outreach and Institutional Advancement, Qatar Foundation (QF).

Featuring an immersive light show and a series of inflatable characters installed on buildings across Education City, the Anooki experience aims to raise awareness about the effects of climate change, and educate people about the need for everyone to play their part in building a more sustainable world.
The Anooki will be in place from February 16 till 21 with pre-registered tours available to the public via the Education City App, and a series of precautionary measures being taken to ensure those who book can experience the installation while adhering to Qatar’s COVID-19 health guidelines.

Doha: A new way of exploring and experiencing everything that Qatar Foundation has to offer is being opened up to the community – with the launch of the Education City App.
A simple tool for people to discover more about the events, activities, and opportunities available within the home of Qatar Foundation (QF), and register to participate, the free-to-download app showcases how Education City is a hub of community life that provides something for everyone to enjoy.
It joins a portfolio of new digital platforms created to promote Education City to a wider audience virtually, alongside a dedicated website containing digital recordings that give visitors an immersive insight into QF’s range of events and activities; and the Education City Marketplace, which is supporting businesses in Qatar by providing them with a shop window to sell their unique and creative handcrafted goods.
