Norwich is renowned for its medieval heritage, famed for its glorious churches and the likes of picture-postcard Elm Hill.
But, in a vibrant city, time does not stand still. Newer buildings now rub shoulders with buildings which are centuries old.
A new publication Norwich in the Twenty-First Century , written by Jon Boon from civic watchdog The Norwich Society, celebrates the post-millennial buildings which have become a part of the city.
Here are some of the examples highlighted in that book, which shows how Norwich s rich heritage continues to evolve:

Norfolk colleges are facing a funding shortfall to help students catch up from months of lost face-to-face teaching.
College leaders are calling for an end to the multi-million pound penalty they say threatens to hold back students as they work to make up lost ground following the disruption to their learning caused by the pandemic.
College students on vocational and technical courses - such as hospitality, construction, engineering, motor vehicle repair and maintenance, agriculture and animal studies - have been particularly hard hit, because of the difficulties in replacing practical teaching with remote lessons.

Hundreds of students have returned to the University of East Anglia in Norwich for the first time since lockdown.
But while Norfolk schools and colleges have seen students return to classrooms this week, the majority of university students remain stuck at home.
Only around 350 students have returned to the UEA campus in Norwich this week out of a total more than 17,000.
Most students have been told there will be no face-to-face teaching until April 26 at the earliest, with the exception of some practical courses.
