Michael Mina to Replace His Eponymous Downtown Restaurant With New Greek Seafood Spot
Michael Mina, the Michelin-starred restaurant from SF chef Michael Mina that helped launch a national restaurant empire, is closed for good, and in its place on California Street will be a high-end Greek seafood spot, Estiatorio Ornos.
Named for a beach on the island of Mykonos where Mina says he had a transformative meal, Estiatorio Ornos will be focused on seafood, and will feature different catches of the day and a choice of preparations for each as well as both tasting menu and a la carte options, and a roving cart serving fresh breads and dips like hummus and whipped feta (tirokafteri).

Chandler Police responded to a trespassing call late Saturday night when things took an unexpected turn, causing a six-vehicle accident.

When officers arrived, a man was found inside an RV and refused to leave. When our officers caught him inside, he would not exit, would not follow directions or orders, said Sergeant Jason McClimans with Chandler Police. Because of his referred movements, our officers backed up.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. Authorities say the suspect in three recent bank robberies east of Albuquerque also robbed a bank in Socorro on Thursday afternoon.
FBI spokesman Frank Fisher said around 4:45 p.m. the robber walked into the Wells Fargo at 501 North California Street and gave a demand note to a teller. He said the man was given cash and left the bank, headed northbound.
The man is described as Hispanic and in his 40s, 5 feet and five inches tall, with a medium build. He wore a dark ball cap with a light-colored brim, a dark mask, a navy blue long-sleeve shirt, and black pants.
