Mumbai: India is facing the second wave of coronavirus and Maharashtra is one the most affected states in the country. Keeping this situation in consideration, the third Oxygen Express carrying three tankers of liquid medical oxygen (LMO), each with about 14 tonnes LMO, is scheduled to reach Kalamboli in Maharashtra on Sunday (April 25) from Gujarat s Hapa on Rajkot Division of Western Railway, said the Indian Railways.

MUMBAI: The first Oxygen Express carrying liquid medical oxygen tankers from Visakhapatnam reached Nashik in Maharashtra on Saturday morning.
The train reached Nasik Road station at 10.25 am, where four tankers were unloaded, the Central Railway (CR) said in a statement.
Tweeting about it, Minister of Railways Piyush Goyal said, Oxygen Express train loaded with liquid medical oxygen tankers from Vizag has reached Nashik. 4 Oxygen tankers have been unloaded to provide additional oxygen to the patients.

Linde India, Tata get 24 cryogenic containers for medical oxygen supplies ANI | Updated: Apr 24, 2021 18:13 IST
New Delhi [India], Apr 24 (ANI): Industrial and medical gas manufacturer Linde India said on Saturday it has secured 24 cryogenic containers, in partnership with Tata group for carriage of medical oxygen, from international sources.
These containers have arrived by airways to eastern part of India from where Linde will be transporting them to their liquid oxygen manufacturing facility, it said in a statement. At the Linde facility, these cryogenic ISO containers will be conditioned and certified for liquid medical oxygen usage. Each of these containers which can carry up to 20 tonnes of liquid O2 will be used by Linde to pick-up oxygen from various manufacturing facilities and deliver it to hospitals where required.

MUMBAI: Facing an acute shortage of oxygen in its hospitals, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) will soon set up 16 oxygen generation plants at 12 civic hospitals.
BMC officials said that these 16 oxygen generation plants will be able to generate around 43 tonnes of oxygen per day and will drastically reduce BMC s dependence on private oxygen suppliers, saving costs in the long run.
The BMC will spend around Rs 90 crore on these plants.
