Hans Herman Geiger, 85, of Coldwater, peacefully passed on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at Drews Place of Coldwater.
Services were delayed due to state gathering restrictions. A memorial mass will now be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at St. Mary of Assumption Catholic Church in Bronson. Rev. Fathers Daniel Hyman and Paul Redmond will officiate. Interment will be done privately at St. Maryâs Cemetery in Bronson at a later date. A memorial gathering will be held at Lighthouse Funeral & Cremation in Union City on Friday, July 30, 2021 from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. with a Rosary service to begin at 7:00 P.M. The family is being served by Lighthouse Funeral & Cremation of Union City.

Charlotte Jean Smith, 82, of Union City, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Glenn Arbor Hospice Residence in Battle Creek.
Following cremation, she will be memorialized at a later date, with private burial at North Sherwood Cemetery. The family is being served by Lighthouse Funeral & Cremation of Union City.
Char was born September 11, 1938 in Charlotte, Michigan to Garland and Marvel (Bowen) Grinage. She attended Hastings High School, a member of the Class of 1956. Char was married to Thomas Vaccaro and later to John Smith, but both unions ended in divorce. Char worked as a waitress for 25 years in Battle Creek, Union City and Coldwater, as well as Kalkaska, where she owned the Country Boy Bar. In later years she worked at the B Drive Meijer in Battle Creek. Â Â Â Char enjoyed spending time with family, especially grand- and great-grandchildren. James William LaFerney
James William LaFerney, Jr., 64, of Coldwater Michigan, lost his lifelong struggle with Multiple Sclerosis and his battle against cancer December 10, 2020. He died in his home surrounded by his loving family.
James was born on October 13, 1956 in Ypsilanti, Michigan to James and Yvonne (Perry) LaFerney. He grew up in Michigan and graduated from Belleville High School in 1975. He lived most of his adult life in New Madrid Missouri where he had many friends and family. He returned to Michigan in 2013 where he met the love of his life Janice Baughey.
James had a hilarious sense of humor and was quite a jokester, but was best known for his infectious laugh. He enjoyed music and hunting, especially deer camp with the guys, and spending time at the familyâs lake house.
