Break out your favorite Mickey Mouse watch because Robert Langdon is coming back to a screen near you. Peacock announced Tuesday that it has placed a full series order for
Langdon, a brand-new TV series inspired by author Dan Brown s globe-trotting Harvard symbologist. Written and executive produced by Dan Dworkin and Jay Beattie, the project will be based on 2009 s The Lost Symbol, one of two Langdon-centric novels not adapted for the big screen by director Ron Howard.
Set in Washington, D.C., the show
finds the titular academic (played in this iteration by
Designated Survivor and
Succession star Ashley Zukerman) racing against the clock to solve a collection of deadly puzzles in order to save his mentor and thwart a chilling global conspiracy. While

NBCUniversal has ordered thriller Dan Brown’s Langdon to series for its streaming service Peacock, after it picked up a pilot episode for US broadcast network NBC last year.

Based on US author Brown’s novel The Lost Symbol, Dan Brown’s Langdon follows the early adventures of Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon, who must solve a series of deadly puzzles to save his kidnapped mentor and thwart a chilling global conspiracy.
The series is produced by CBS Studios, Imagine Television Studios and Universal Television, with Dan Dworkin and Jay Beattie sharing writing duties.

The first official still from Ridley Scott’s “House of Gucci” has been released. Lady Gaga (Patrizia Reggiana) and Adam Driver (Maurizio Gucci) star in the film, which tells of the tumultuous Gucci family fashion dynasty and the murder of founder Guccio Gucci’s grandson Maurizio Gucci. The film releases in November.
Peacock has ordered to series ”Dan Brown’s Langdon”, based on the aforesaid author’s “Da Vinci Code” series. Dan Dworkin and Jay Beattie will serve as writers and executive producers for the series. Brown, Brian Grazer, Ron Howard, Samie Kim Falvey and Anna Culp also serve as executive producers.
