Da Vinci Code Prequel Series Langdon Shifts From NBC To Peacock
After shifting from being a film adaptation to a series at NBC, the
Da Vinci Code prequel drama
Dan Brown’s Langdon centered on the iconic Art History and Symbology Professor is shifting gears to fresh streaming service Peacock as it has been picked up to series.
“The team was blown away by this pilot and its enormous potential to become a big, binge-worthy hit, and our new structure enables us to move it to Peacock and give it every opportunity to make that happen,” Susan Rovner, Chairman, NBCUniversal Television and Streaming, said in a statement. “Our ability to pick up a great show is no longer limited by the confines of a network schedule, giving us the freedom to say ‘yes’ to shows we love and then find them the perfect home across our portfolio.”
Peacock picks up Dan Brown’s Langdon
NBCUniversal has ordered thriller Dan Brown’s Langdon to series for its streaming service Peacock, after it picked up a pilot episode for US broadcast network NBC last year.

Based on US author Brown’s novel The Lost Symbol, Dan Brown’s Langdon follows the early adventures of Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon, who must solve a series of deadly puzzles to save his kidnapped mentor and thwart a chilling global conspiracy.
The series is produced by CBS Studios, Imagine Television Studios and Universal Television, with Dan Dworkin and Jay Beattie sharing writing duties.

The first official still from Ridley Scott’s “House of Gucci” has been released. Lady Gaga (Patrizia Reggiana) and Adam Driver (Maurizio Gucci) star in the film, which tells of the tumultuous Gucci family fashion dynasty and the murder of founder Guccio Gucci’s grandson Maurizio Gucci. The film releases in November.
Peacock has ordered to series ”Dan Brown’s Langdon”, based on the aforesaid author’s “Da Vinci Code” series. Dan Dworkin and Jay Beattie will serve as writers and executive producers for the series. Brown, Brian Grazer, Ron Howard, Samie Kim Falvey and Anna Culp also serve as executive producers.
