BH Community Services Re-Opening Begins
BEVERLY HILLS The city of Beverly Hills Community Services Department is working with the city’s Advanced Planning and COVID Pandemic Response Team to bring back a number of programs and services in full compliance with the required safety modifications. The city of BH indicated in a press release that as a result of the new Order, updates to programs and services are as follows:
Recreation
Basketball courts opened on Thursday, April 8, at Roxbury Park to limited occupancy.
Youth sports, including AYSO and Little League, will resume competitive play beginning April 12, using the sports fields at Roxbury Park and La Cienega Park.

New playground equipment is scheduled to be installed at Thaddeus Hurd Park this summer, formerly known as Cherry Street Park.
Jim Mason, park superintendent, said the Clyde Recreation Board approved the purchase, but the installation date is not yet determined, citing unexpected manufacturing and delivery delays due to COVID-19.
The equipment is all inclusive with several components to accommodate both handicapped and able-bodied children, including swing sets and climbing equipment, Mason said. Recent improvements to the park include walking trails. There is a basketball hoop and a portable toilet.
Washington County libraries mull reopening plans
Some libraries have started to offer limited indoor services, but planning varies between library operators.
As indoor spaces open gradually after Washington County was recently placed in the moderate category of risk regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, libraries throughout Washington County are discussing plans of expanding services before an eventual full reopening at some point.
While the latter isn t expected to happen anytime soon, libraries in the Washington County Cooperative Library Services are all allowing curbside pickup of materials with a handful permitting limited indoor browsing. To help ensure the safety of the staff and our patrons, we have modified public areas and changed certain procedures to comply with state and federal guidelines for reopening.
Book drops are open 24/7 as of Oct. 21, 2020.
Temporary hours for branches, curbside services, & reduced building capacities:
Camden Branch: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday from 12-8 p.m., Tuesday from 2-8 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. 10 patrons at a time. 937-452-3142.
Eaton Branch: Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. 10 patrons at a time. 937-456-4331.
Curbside Services
The Library will continue to offer contact-free pickup, homebound delivery, virtual programming, and telephone services during open hours. Notary public service, photocopying, faxing, and printing will be available by appointment only, via curbside service.
Check the library’s website and social media accounts for details and to arrange pick-up. Patrons are able to place holds themselves online or call the Library. Holds are available throughout the library system.
