County commissioners this week received a $100,000 funding request from the Cambridge-Guernsey County Visitors & Convention Bureau as part of a COVID-19 Recovery Marketing Campaign proposal.
The request was taken under advisement by commissioners for further review. It was a good discussion, but no action was taken at this time, said Commissioner Dave Wilson of the meeting with VCB Executive Director Debbie Robinson, VCB Board President Heath Dawson and past board President Suellen Johnson.
The budget proposal includes $30,000 apiece for a digital campaign and website, $15,000 for niche publications, $14,000 for video production, $6,000 for outdoor boards (events) and $5,000 for the John Glenn Centennial Celebration.
