In the wake of increasing pressure from parents and students, the government has decided to postpone the Class 10 Secondary School Leaving Certificate examination.
“The SSLC examinations slated to start from June 21 stands postponed,” said Primary and Secondary Education Minister S. Suresh Kumar on Wednesday. “The increasing number of COVID-19 cases in the State, coupled with concerns of parents and students and many school associations, has resulted in this decision.”
The exams were slated to be held from June 21 to July 5, and until recently the government was hesitant to postpone it in the hope that the pandemic would show signs of easing by May-end. “A suitable call will be taken after the second wave of COVID-19 dies down,” said the minister in a statement.

Karnataka Education Minister Dr C N Ashwatha Narayana on Wednesday informed that Common Entrance Test (CET)- 2021 has been postponed to August 28 and August 29 in view of surging COVID-19 cases.
Due to the second wave of COVID 19 infections, the Common Entrance Test 2021 for admission to professional courses has been postponed. The test will now be conducted on 28 August 2021 and 29 August 20

The Karnataka government on Wednesday announced postponing the Common Entrance Test (CET) 2021 following the postponement of the second pre-university exam this year. The exam will now take place on August 28 and 29, the government said.
The government has also postponed the Kannada Language Test for Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga students. The exam will be conducted on August 30.

KCET 2021: The Karnataka Examinations Authority has decided to postpone the CET exam amid surge in Covid-19 cases. The exam which was scheduled on July 7 and 8 will now be held on August 28 and 29 in two shifts. The Kannada language test will now be conducted on August 30.Â
According to the revised exam schedule, the biology and mathematics exams are scheduled on August 28 in first and second shift respectively, while physics and chemistry will be conducted on August 29 in both the shifts. The Kannada Language test for Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga will also be conducted in two shifts, from 10:30 to 11:50 am, and 2:30 to 3:50 pm.Â
