Hyderabad: Night curfew instills fear of lockdown among migrant workers

Hyderabad: The fears of the last year’s statewide lockdown have returned to haunt the migrant workers in Telangana. Migrant workers are leaving Hyderabad as they fear the reimposition of a lockdown in the state again. Their fears have been compounded following the recent decision of the state government to impose night curfew till May 1.
The workers are leaving for their native places by using different modes of transport. On thousands of workers are reportedly leaving the state by trains every day. Public transport buses are also brimming with the workers who are leaving the state capital for their native place. The outskirt areas of the city are being vacated, and workers are leaving with their families.
