FB account fake, says outgoing MCC Commissioner

Outgoing Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) Commissioner Gurudutt Hegde has sought to caution social media users against a fake account created in his name on Facebook.
“The person is asking money from public. Please don’t entertain it. I am not on Facebook. This is for your information. This has been reported to the cyber police also,” Mr. Hegde said in a statement here on Tuesday.
Mr. Hegde was recently transferred as Managing Director of Karnataka Handlooms Development Corporation.

Saris to be bought from the handloom corporation for anganwadi workers, helpers
The State government has decided to provide bank guarantee for one year for the loan that has been raised by the Karnataka Handloom Development Corporation (KHDC).
Home, and Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Basavaraj Bommai told presspersons after the Cabinet meeting that the corporation had raised a total of ₹31 crore as loan, of which ₹7 crore had been returned. For the remaining ₹24 crore loan that is pending, the State government would give bank guarantee for one year, Mr. Bommai said.
Further, the government has decided to buy saris that are given as uniforms for anganwadi workers and helpers at a cost of ₹10.27 crore from the KHDC. He said that each worker and helper would receive two saris. A total of 62,580 helpers and 65,911 workers would receive the saris, and each sari would cost ₹400, he said.

Cabinet Minister rank from the State Minister rank.
This means more perks and staff. On an average, the government spends at least Rs 5 lakh on a Cabinet Minister besides the cost of running an office and salaries of personal staff.

Amid delay on the decision of cabinet expansion in Karnataka, the state got 14 new cabinet minister-rank functionaries and four new minister of state-rank functionaries on Wednesday.
In a move to mollify BJP MLAs whose work has been recognised but for whom there is no vacancy in the cabinet, Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa appointed 13 MLAs as chairpersons to state-run boards and corporations. The notification also stated the rank would be equivalent to that of a cabinet minister.
A 14th appointment is of a retired information department officer as the media advisor to the CM, also with cabinet rank. Four other MLAs have been appointed with minister of state-ranks to other boards and corporations, as well. The appointments come with all ministerial perks.
