MADIKERI: Till recently, volunteers were the only ones risking their lives and undertaking the cremation of Covid victims in Kodagu. But on Sunday, with volunteers unavailable, a group of journalists took over and performed the last rites of a Covid victim.

GADAG: A farmer couple in Karnataka s Gadag district is receiving praises for composing songs to spread awareness on Covid-19.

Seeing the fear and stress among people due to the pandemic, the couple from Jantali Shirur village in Mundargi taluk, launched a campaign to instil confidence among them.
Hallikerimath told TOI that singing is his passion.
“I got married on July 29 last year during the first wave of the pandemic and since then my wife and I have been committed to spreading awareness on Covid-19,” he said.
