• Rodney M. Hughes, 48, of Kampsville was booked into the Greene County Jail at 8:54 a.m. Tuesday on a possession of methamphetamine charge.

• Tanner D. Newingham, 29, of White Hall was booked into the Greene County Jail at 11:39 a.m. Tuesday on Greene County arrest warrants accusing him of battery and criminal damage to property.
• Sarah R. Parker, 32, of Jacksonville was booked into the Greene County Jail at 11:10 p.m. Monday on a petition to revoke.
• Abra K. Albrecht, 37, of Springfield was booked into the Greene County Jail at 10:23 p.m. Monday on a charge of driving while license is suspended.

CARROLLTON, Ga. Authorities in west Georgia say they are concerned for the welfare of a man who hasn t been seen since the end of the week.
Carrollton Police said that 52-year-old John Jeffrey Chaney was last seen on Thursday or Friday in the area of Beulah Church Road. Police said he usually bikes or walks. Authorities haven t provided any additional information on his disappearance.
They re currently unsure what he was wearing the last time he was seen. They re currently asking anyone with information about his location to call 911 or the Carrollton Police Department at 770-834-4451. The investigator in charge of the case is Brandon Wilson.

Three law enforcement officers in Georgia were shot and wounded after a traffic stop early on Monday led to a police chase that involved an exchange of gunfire and ended with one suspect dead and another jailed, authorities said.
Georgia State Patrol officers stopped a car speeding at 111 miles (78 km) per hour around 3:30 a.m. EST (0730 GMT) on Interstate 20 in northwestern Georgia s Carroll County, county Sheriff Terry Langley told reporters.
The car s passenger fired a rifle at the State Patrol car, disabling it. The car then fled the scene, leading to a chase that required several law enforcement agencies to be called in for backup.
An Excelsior Springs woman is facing a felony after leading law enforcement on a high speed pursuit in December.
According to a probable cause statement, at approximately 11:52 p.m. on December 8, a Carrollton Police Officer attempted to stop a dark blue Nissan Altima with expired tags on Highway 65. When the officer activated her emergency lights, the vehicle quickly accelerated and continued southbound on Highway 65 at a high rate of speed. The vehicle reached speeds in excess of 100 mph while traveling southbound towards Marshall. During the pursuit, the vehicle struck the front passenger side of the officer’s vehicle while attempting to pass a Carroll County Sheriff’s Deputy. The vehicle came to a stop on Highway 65, just south of Arrow Street, in Marshall, after being successfully spiked. The driver of the vehicle, 31-year-old Mary Lynn Fagan was taken into custody.
