Three law enforcement officers were injured during a police chase in Georgia that ended with one suspect being killed and a second suspect taken into custody, authorities said Monday morning.

Three Georgia law enforcement officers were shot by fleeing suspects early Monday morning during a car chase.
The chase began with an attempted traffic stop by the Georgia State Patrol in Bremen around 4:30 a.m., according to Carroll County Sheriff Terry Langley. The officers pursued the suspects into Carroll County, where local departments including the sheriff’s office and police in Carrollton and Villa Rica joined the chase.
At the height of the chase, the suspects were speeding up to 111 mph, officials said.
Three officers were shot by the suspects: Carroll County Deputy Jay Repetto, Sgt. Rob Holloway of the Carrollton Police Department and Chase Gordy of the Villa Rica Police Department.

Three officers were injured during a police chase in Georgia Monday morning that ended with a suspect dead and another in custody.
At a news conference on Monday, authorities said three officers had been shot during the pursuit, including one who crashed into a utility pole.
Sgt. Rob Holloway, an officer with the Carrollton Police Department, Villa Rica police officer Chase Gordy and Carroll County sheriff s deputy Jay Repetto were identified as the officers injured during the chase. All three were hospitalized.
The pursuit began when a Georgia State Patrol trooper stopped a Nissan for speeding at 111 mph on Interstate 20 early on Monday morning, according to Georgia State Patrol Captain Brandon Dawson.
