At a joint meeting held on Thursday between the Lincoln County Board of Education and the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners, Dr. Aaron Allen, the newly appointed superintendent presented the Lincoln County Schools 2022 budget. At the end of his presentation, Commissioner Carrol Mitchem asked for the difference between the 2021 budget and this one which is approximately $4.5 million.
The total current expense requested for FY22 increased from what the commissioners approved last fiscal year ($18,717,877) to $2,697,098.Â
The total personnel needs total $1,539,636. This increase includes:
A pay scale increase ($.50/hour) for 396 classified employees in the amount of $550,000Â
Keeping nine local (existing) positions formerly funded by the state, the district will need $510,675.Â
