Carroll High School Foundation Kills It With Kindness

COVID-19 has required the implementation of social distancing, making a large annual effort like the Tiger Trot difficult if not unfeasible. The foundation members put their heads together and came up with a plan for kindness instead, that had family, friends, community residents and businesses making pledges in exchange for acts of kindness to be carried out by students. With a goal of $30,000 in 12 days, the initiative started out strong, but was still nearly $8,000 short of that goal on their final day. However, the Carroll community shows up to support their own and came through, raising a grand total of $32,127. This money will go directly to the Carroll Community School District and the foundation will use the funds for field trips, accelerated reading programs, new technology and to help instructors enhance their classroom space and materials.
