Carolyn Arends presents us with a collection of songs written out of Holy Discontent , as she states in the sleevenotes. That doesn t mean that her music is glum or even angry. It s more of a groovy-grumble played out brilliantly on acoustic instruments. This project is brilliantly recorded and mixed resulting in a shimmering sound that sounds delightfully organic. 12 songs adorn this album and each one is excellent. The Canadian singer/songwriter is a keen musician, but has a great talent with lyrics which go together to make fantasticly crafted songs. The highlights of the first half is What In The World , a tune with a great foot-tapping pace and a great use of Scripture to listen out for. The playing on this album is a real pleasure to listen to, particularly the drumming of Phil Robertson and Arends own keyboard skills. Itâs time for that annual spring fling in Hurricane(a cleaning day)as the community center has been closed for a year due to the pandemic, and the committee has designated Monday, April 12, as the day for volunteers to meet at 9:00 a.m. to work inside and also outside on the lawn. The center will begin rentals again on May 1, 2021 as you know rentals are the primary way that the community center has funds for the upkeep of the property. Donations are always welcomed if you care to contribute to the general fund. You may call 662-550-0340 to request a spot on the rental calendar or to leave a donation. So letâs participate in this spring event for our community center!

There goes another lost hour of sleep that experts say that the DST possible effects will linger for another week or more as your circadian rhythm or body clockâs daily patterns will be thrown out of kilter. For all of you âhelter-skelterâ people like me that live on the jagged edge of life daily(eight grandchildren on spring break),you need to pace your work and play activities as that extra hour of daylight can lead to other health problems that include the following: dizzier or fuzzier thinking, cardiovascular events, feeling jet-lagged or the opposite of temper flares; plus sleep deprivation makes people overspend and overeat. I warned yâall last autumn of the fall back syndrome of DST on my personal life, but I did not realize that the spring DST change was such a health threat. So cheer up fellow North Mississippians as th
