MADD gives Belmont Police its top award
Mothers Against Drunk Driving has given Belmont Police its Agency of the Year Award.
“I am very impressed with the staff of the Belmont Police Department for their commitment to remove impaired drivers from the streets of Belmont. These efforts make our community a safer place,” said Belmont Police Chief Chad Hawkins.
MADD noted Belmont Police s efforts to end and fight drunken driving, as well as support for victims and its proactive measure to combat underage drinking. The award was for the 2019 calendar year, but MADD did not make the presentation due to Covid-19 protocols.
