Cranbury school board adopts $20.1 million budget for 2021-22 school year The Cranbury Township Board of Education has adopted a $20.1 million budget to fund school district operations during the 2021-22 academic year. Board President Karen Callahan, Vice President Pramod Chivate and board members Peter Katz, Lisa Rue, Laura Hoffman and Rob Christopher voted “yes” to adopt the budget on April 28. Board members Dominique Jones and Lindsay McDowell were absent from the meeting. The 2021-22 budget provides for two additional teachers and two additional teaching assistants, additional funding for expansion of in-person learning, education programs, staffing and services, tuition payments to Princeton Public Schools and funds transportation services, according to the school district’s presentation.

Double session of COVID-19 vaccination clinics for school staff members in Old Bridge set for April 8 OLD BRIDGE – A double session of COVID-19 vaccination clinics for staff members in the Old Bridge Township Public School District is on April 8. The vaccinations will be administered by appointment only with school administration setting up times for teachers and staff, including custodians, bus drivers, secretaries and food service employees. The district is expected to fill 276 slots over the two days, according to a school district release. The clinics are under the direction of Penn Medicine Princeton Health, which is collaborating with various Middlesex County school districts to establish vaccination clinics for school staff. More than a dozen districts have opted to participate, including Cranbury, East Brunswick, Monroe, Piscataway and Carteret, according to the release.
