Emergency food supplies
Barnstable High School parking lot will serve as the new distribution site for Farmers 2 Families emergency food supply pickup on Saturdays going forward. The well-balanced, pre-packaged perishable food boxes are available to help combat the massive food insecurity problem posed by the pandemic.
Families in need are invited to register in advance at www.mmsfi.org to pick up a box of food between 9 and 11 a.m. on Saturdays at BHS. Each food package contains a two-week supply of 32 lbs. of fresh fruits and vegetables, dairy and meat products.
Take-Back Day
The Yarmouth Police Department will be taking back unwanted prescription drugs Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This one-day collaborative initiative aims to remove potentially dangerous controlled substances from our community’s homes.

HYANNIS – Cape Cod 5 is pleased to announce a three-year strategic partnership with EVERFI, Inc., an international technology company focused on driving social change and financial wellness through education and the establishment of critical life skills.
Through this new partnership, the bank will make available at no cost, three interactive, video-based EVERFI education courses geared toward middle and/or high school students, two of which focus on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
Cape Cod 5 is proud to become the first bank in the country to offer sponsorship of one of these courses, Diversity Foundations, which is geared toward high school students. All three EVERFI educational courses will be offered to schools in the communities served by the bank on the Cape and Islands and in Southeastern Massachusetts. School administrators will be

Major League Baseball, its Clubs, and media entities (MLB Network and MLB.com) will observe Black History Month 2021 in a variety of ways, across our sport, with the following goals in mind:
• To meaningfully engage and support African American people, institutions, and communities across the nation;
• To celebrate and recognize the rich history of African Americans in baseball; and
• To showcase the voices of African American youth, professional players & coaches, historians, and others connected to the sport.
These efforts are among many ongoing initiatives and partnerships maintained year-round with our communities, our fans, and our MLB players, coaches and professionals.
